Trans Indian makes history at Delhi bodybuilding competition

Lawyer Aryan Pasha said it was his ‘dream’ to participate in the male category

Indian trans hunk Aryan Pasha made history this weekend by taking second place at the Musclemania bodybuilding competition in Delhi.

Aryan Pasha, an accomplished lawyer, competed in the Men’s Physique (Short) category.

‘It was my dream to participate in Men’s category’ the bodybuilder told local media Gaylaxy.

Pasha transitioned at the age of 18, according to Gaylaxy.

He wanted to compete in a transmen competition in the US. But, when his visa was denied, he joined a male competition in Delhi instead.

‘Till now I have won medals in female category but this is what I actually wanted in my life – to compete with other men’ he told Gaylaxy.

‘I enjoyed every second when I was on stage because this is what I dreamt off. I was not nervous at all and just wanted to complete poses like a champion’, he said.

Pasha’s friends, family and gym buddies spurred him on on Saturday (1 December).

He plans to participate in the next International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation competition in February.

For the first time in India, the competition will include a transmen category. Pasha, however, plans to compete in both the men and trans male categories.
