On Saturday, June 23 at 1530 the U.S. Embassy is sponsoring an event called “Proud to be ourselves.” The purpose is to celebrate diversity, promote tolerance, and raise awareness of sexual and emotional health issues among youth (especially in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community) in Vientiane.
This event is being coordinated with LaoPHA, Purple Sky Network , PSI, FHI, Vientiane Youth Center for Development, and many other valued partners. It will take place at the Sports Field of the U.S. Ambassador at 1530 on June 23rd. It will feature dramas, games, quizzes, and performances and it is completely free.
All are invited to attend – the only thing you need to bring is an open mind!”
